Director Prior to her appointment in September 2007 as Director of the Cushing Institute, Maddalena (Maddie) Goodwin spent 15 years at Boston University, serving in a variety of senior administrative and development positions on the BU/Boston Public School collaborative, the African Studies Center, the Communication Research Center, and as Assistant Director for the Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future. Maddie's commitment to education and long history of public service has been recognized by a number of local and national awards.
Assistant to the Director After serving Cushing Academy staff as the Registrar for eight years and the International/ESL Assistant, Lynn Breau has joined the Institute for 21st Century Leadership team. Having developed strong Cushing community relationships over the years, she is known for her dedication, enthusiasm, and experience with community service, including her work with Big Friend/Little Friend, Relay for Life, and volunteer positions in her town's schools, church, and food pantry.
Board of Advisors To ensure the depth and breadth of its programs, the Board of Advisors provides the Insititute with their vision of future developments and advises us on the trends shaping this century. Members include leading thinkers and scholars from academic, public, and private sectors.
