Leadership for the 21st Century
21st Century Challenges and Opportunities: Our Aging Global Population
George Leeson, Deputy Director, Oxford Institute on Ageing, James Martin 21st Century School, University of Oxford and Aubrey de Grey, Chief Science Officer, SENS participated in the Fall 2009 panel in our Oxford-Cushing Discussion Series. The interactive discussion addressed the topic of extending the human lifespan – to as much as 150 years. When could we see a world like this? What is its impact on our creativity and productive contributions? Evolution and world population? Both students and faculty posed questions to de Grey, who joined the discussion via video conference in Geneva, and Leeson, who spent a week as a Scholar in Residence at the Academy.
