04/09/2008The Spring Parents’ and Grandparents’ Weekend schedule and registration information are now available online. Click here to view the schedule and register for the weekend by April 18.With Spring Parents’ and Grandparents’ Weekend happening at the same time as Cushing’s Reunion this year, the weekend promises to be filled with activities for the entire family to enjoy and become better acquainted with Cushing. A guest speaker from Boston College will join Cushing’s athletic directors for an informational session about college admissions for the student athlete. Local artists will visit Cushing to share their pottery in the gallery. And, enjoy a family barbecue on the common while listening to the music of “The Origin,” a band of several former Cushing faculty members. Bring your student’s grandparents! Grandparents will have a special opportunity to share tea with the Headmaster on Friday afternoon. Bring your student’s sisters and brothers! Fun kid-friendly activities range from the Open Skate up at the rink to a showing of “March of the Penguins” on the big screen in the Chapel. Most of all, Family Weekends are about experiencing a day in the life of your student at Cushing. Friday’s class visitation is always the most informative and enjoyable for parents, as well as the weekend’s athletic tournaments. Keep your fingers crossed for good weather! See you there!
