The Fisher-Watkins Library is an established leader in the use of digital devices and electronic content in secondary education. The library’s digital collections include over 24 million items drawn from academic journals, eBooks, image and film libraries, and other educational content.
The Library also maintains print collections in subject areas related to the curriculum and residential life. Members of our community have different needs and preferences in how they access information, and the library maintains a flexible approach by offering print and digitial content.
These best-in-class assets are useful to the extent they are used well. Cushing librarians are committed to giving students the know-how to locate, sort and use these materials appropriately through classroom instruction and one-on-one consultations.
Today’s students want collaborative study areas in addition to quiet space, and the library accommodates both. Students use on-site desktop computers, printing and scanning stations, group study rooms, classrooms and labs for instruction and group work, and they also may check-out noise-cancelling headphones for silent study.
Come by for a visit and let us show you all that the Library has to offer!
