David Margules '74, 9/11 photojournalist

Cushing is pleased to welcome David Margules, a New York-based photographer and member of the Class of 1974, to campus for a special exhibit of his 9/11 imagery.

Stationed at Ground Zero and embraced by the GPS Unit of the New York City Fire Department following the attacks on the World Trade Center, Margules dedicated hundreds of hours listening, watching and photographing. Selections from his project, “A Narrative of Courage,” will be on display in the Emily Fisher Landau Center for the Visual Arts beginning September 28. In addition, Margules will discuss his work in an all-school assembly and meet in small groups with Cushing photography students.
