My art has always had deep roots in purity. While I take advantage of the space age advancements available to me in both physically taking pictures and in post-production work, there is still something resonant about taking a good picture, as opposed to making one. The subjectivity of my focus within my photographs helps to establish a value I hold very dear as an artist: that art is nothing more than the feeling it leaves in your stomach; did the piece, even in a minuscule way, change you? Make you smile? Make you think? It is our purpose as photographers to show what isn’t seen and I hope that in some small way or another you will see my photographs and feel changed. |
