Four hours of classes in the morning ensure that you leave the Summer Session better prepared for school than you have ever been.

Prep for Success is a five-week program giving students the confidence and skills necessary to meet their academic success for the future.

Academic Programs for Ages 14-18:

College Prep - stepping up to challenges for college
College prep is a five-week program which prepares students to meet the challenges of college-level curriculum confidently and successfully. We offer a wide range of courses in English, Mathematics, Science, History and Intermediate Mandarin.

Critical Skills Across the Curriculum: In English, mathematics and study techniques - the art of learning
A five-week program focusing on the development of reading and writing and mathematic skills. Study, organization, learning strategies and technology are taught throughout the curriculum.

English as a Second Language (ESL) - a world-class program offering individual attention
Recognized throughout the world for its excellence, Cushing's five-week ESL program is highly recommended for students who plan to continue their education in the United States.

Academic Programs for Ages 13-18:
Studio Art and Portfolio Preparation - nuturing the artist within This five-week course introduces you to the fundamentals of color, composition, line, and space used in such media from pencil, canvas, metals, photographs, watercolor and oil as you learn through hands-on practice of the techniques covered in class.

Afternoon Electives for All Students
Afternoon electives are offered for enrichment only, and your work is assessed on a pass/fail basis.
