The Joseph R. Curry Academic Center opened for classes on January 8, 2005. The impressive facility houses math and science classrooms and laboratories, as well as instruction and practice space for performing arts. Locker rooms for nearby Quimby Field are also located on the ground floor. The building is located below the Main Building and Library, at the corner of Academy and Pleasant Streets. It was named in honor of Dr. Joseph R. Curry who retired in 2000 after serving as Cushing's headmaster for 28 years.
