Come home to Cushing Academy for this most festive of weekends! And while we will be especially celebrating class years ending in 0 and 5, all alumni are encouraged to attend.

  • Registration and Early Dorm Check In

    Dinner on your Own - Here are a few restaurants we highly recommend in Ashburnham:
    • Tavern on Central, located at 3 Central Street, features a massive beer and cocktails list. Highlights of the menu include nachos, salads, burgers, and some really amazing tacos.
    • Of course, there’s also Yaka Sawa, Brother’s Pizza and Village Pizza if you’re interested in pizza, calzones, or sandwiches.
  • Metalsmithing Workshop with Bob Johnson

    Here’s a chance to relive your Cushing Academy metalsmithing experience, or if you didn’t have a chance to take metalsmithing as a student this is your opportunity to do so as an adult. Craft your very own pair of earrings or bracelet to take home with you. ($45 per piece, up to 2 pieces, in addition to the Reunion Weekend fee) A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

    Leadership donors and our Gold Key Society members—the Classes of 1970 and earlier—are invited to a special cocktail reception at the home of the Head of School, Dr. Randy Bertin. (Invitation only please.)

    One of the best events of the whole weekend! We’ll be on the library terrace (or in the library, in case of rain). This is where the reunion party really gets started.

  • Open Gym Time: Playtime and Pick Up Games!

    Here’s another chance to experience Cushing’s newest building, the Watkins Field House. The gym is a beauty and the fitness area features top-of-the-line equipment.

    Come check in, pick up your room key, leave a note for classmates, or hang out and see who shows up. If you’re arriving just for the Grand Celebration on Saturday night, we’ll have the registration in the dining hall beginning at 4:00 pm.
  • Mini-Mountain Day

    Start your day with a climb up nearby Mt Watatic to rekindle your memories of Mountain Day!

  • Gold Key Breakfast

    Members of our Gold Key Society are invited to breakfast to honor the Class of 1970 as they celebrate their 50th Reunion and are inducted into the society. After breakfast, we’ll take class photos of our Gold Key classes.

CLASS OF 2015 - TAKE NOTE! - Because you’re coming back for your first official Reunion Weekend, we want to make attending especially easy for you. You get to attend reunion for half price! Where else can you get a full weekend of food, fun, and lodging for $70 (if you register before May 1, and just $85 if you register after May 1)?
 
Do You Need a Ride from Boston? On Friday, the Cushing bus will leave South Station at 5:00 pm. It will return to South Station on Sunday, leaving campus at 10:30 am. Please note: you must register for the bus in advance. You can sign up using this paper form, online, or by calling the Alumni Office at 978-827-7400. The bus must leave promptly at 5:00 pm on Friday, June 5, so that our alumni can make it back to campus in time for the opening reception. ($15 each way in addition to the Reunion Weekend fee)
 
Childcare - You’re welcome to bring your children to Reunion Weekend. If you would like childcare for Friday and/or Saturday nights, we can help find someone to help. Children must be 3 years of age and toilet trained. This option must be requested in advance.
 
Information about Dorm Accommodations -The dorm rooms will have one pillow, sheets and a blanket for the bed, and one towel per person. We will do our best to place members of the same class year together. Dorms include: Schottland (Gold Key), Alumni, Ash, Lowe, Sanborn and Sawyer, None of the dorms have en suite bathrooms. Attendees might want to bring extra blankets, pillows, and/or towels; an alarm clock; a fan; etc.

Cushing Academy’s Reunion 2019 saw over 220 alumni and friends celebrate their time at Cushing and the bonds of life-long friendship. From the alumni art show, the backyard barbeque, the Grand Celebration, and a Ferris wheel lighting up the night sky, it was a Reunion weekend to remember.
