Own All of Who You Are

Last Saturday, 21 members of the Cushing community traveled to Pingree School for the 23rd annual AISNE Student of Color Conference. The goal of the conference is to raise self-awareness, build community, provide support, and cultivate leadership among students of color. The theme of this year's two-day overnight experience, "Own All of Who You Are" featured prominently in the talks given by the three keynote speakers: constitutional law professor Dr. Donald Tibbs, immigration rights lawyer Ruth Deras, and diversity, equity and social justice educator and activist Rodney Glasgow.  Students also attended workshops and participated in affinity groups.
