Students Inducted into Cum Laude Society

During a formal induction ceremony in the Fisher-Watkins Library on May 18, we celebrated our newest members of the Cum Laude Society. The purpose of the Cum Laude society is to encourage and recognize scholarship, and so the Greek words, “Arete,” “Dike,” and “Time,” which mean “excellence,” “justice,” and “honor,” were chosen for the motto of the society. Since the founding of the local chapter in January 1956, membership in the Cum Laude Society has been considered one of the most esteemed achievements of a student’s career at Cushing Academy. We congratulate them on this wonderful accomplishment. View additional photos here.
