Performing Arts Students Accepted to Statewide and East Coast Ensembles

This year, two Cushing students were admitted to the Massachusetts Central District ensembles. Ray Duan '20 will participate in the MA Central District Honors Band for the second year in a row and Margaret Riley '20 will sing with the Chorus. Both will attend a series for lengthy rehearsals during the week of January 14. The week culminates in a performance at the beautiful Mechanics Hall in Worcester at 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 19. Both Ray and Margaret scored well enough in their Central District audition that they were also invited to audition for the All-State Band and Chorus, respectively, on Saturday, January 26.

David Kwon '19 (who was in both MA Central District and All-State Choruses last year) was admitted this fall to the All-Eastern Chorus, which includes students from across the northeast. He will be rehearsing and performing with that Chorus in Pittsburgh, PA on April 4-7, 2019 and this will be the first time that Cushing is represented at the regional level!

Congrats to Ray, Margaret, and David!
