VBB vs. Hoosac: CA 82; Hoosac 32

Cushing Academy – 82
Hoosac – 32
The Cushing Varsity Boys’ Basketball team rumbled into their holiday break with a big win against Hoosac on the second day of action at the St. Andrew’s holiday tournament in Barrington, Rhode Island.
From the tip-off it was evident Cushing wanted to dominate and close out their 2018 calendar year on a high note. The boys used stifling defense and electric energy to smother the Hoosac ball handlers and convert steals into easy transition baskets. The Penguins went into the half with a 25-point lead and would not relinquish the lead or allow the game to get close in the second half. Spread scoring through the game left Hoosac with no answer on how to stop the Penguins and Cushing cruised to an 82-32 win.
The team will have a few weeks off for the holiday break and return to game action on Saturday, Jan. 5th with a tilt against Tilton School. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:30pm at the Watkins Field House.
Season Record: 7-1
