This Wednesday afternoon brought an explosion of goals for the Cushing Varsity “B” Boys’ Hockey team. The Penguins were on the road for a dominant team win over the Middlesex School Zebras. It was a total team effort from goalie to defense to offense.
 
 
Point Getters:
Defenseman Brian Lemay ’21 – 4 goals on the afternoon
 
Forward Trevor Hada ’20 – dominant game with 1 goal and 3 assists
 
Forward Ryan Ebensberger ’20 – Ryan scored his first career goal as a Cushing Penguin and took it a notch up from there when he added 2 more for the hat trick
 
Forward Garret Young ’19 – 1 goal
 
Forward Nick White ’19 – 1 goal
 
Defenseman, Captain Adam Canfield ’19 – 1 goal
 
Forward Chase Davis ’21 – 1 goal
 
Defenseman Shane McElhaney ’22 – 1 goal
 
 
A strong performance overall and tough game on the blue line was had by defensemen Cole Johnston ’21 as he held down the line to stop the Middlesex offensive unit. The Penguins outshot the Zebras 52-8 on the day. Credit for the shutout goes to goalie Ben Speyer ’20.
 
Next up for the team will be a home rematch against Tilton School this Saturday, Jan. 19th at 3:00pm.
