The Cushing Academy Varsity Boys’ Hockey team hosted Hoosac School, a private boarding school out of Hoosick, New York on a snowy Wednesday evening. 
Goaltender Joe Sharib ’19 earned the shutout between the pipes and Jake Hewitt ’20 lead the offensive attack scoring twice and adding an assist.  Nick Cafarelli ’20 also had a goal and assist as the Penguins outshot the Owls 51-21 on their way to a solid 5-0 victory.  Max Dorrington ’20 joined in the scoring action and lit the lamp when he picked up a drop pass from defenseman Tim Kippenberger ’20 as he rushed the zone.  Pat Keegan ’19 picked up a helper on the night while Jacob Banks ‘20 picked-up two.  Billy Norcross ’21 finished off the Penguin scoring when he pushed the puck forward on a face-off deep in the offensive zone and then followed it up with a quick shot that went upper short side on the Hoosac goalie for the unassisted goal.   
The home stand continues for the Penguins as they host Vermont Academy at Iorio Arena this coming Friday, Feb. 1st at 3:30pm.
