For the second time in less than ten days, the Cushing Varsity Boys’ Basketball team played host to Bradford Christian Academy, but this time it was for the NEPSAC AA Classic. Having had a strong contest against BCA and coming away with the win last time the Penguins looked to capitalize again and take home their second win against BCA of the season and second win over-all on the weekend.
Cushing used their depth and size to overcome BCA and the game was a one-sided affair for the duration of the contest. Daman Tate was the spark for the Penguins in the first half as he came away with several steals and numerous baskets in transition. Tate led the team in scoring through the first stanza with a staggering 21 points in a single half. The Penguins took a comfortable 51-20 lead into the half and didn’t look back as the second half progressed. The Penguins took this one easily at 85-48.
