Thirds Boys' Soccer vs. Northfield Mount Hermon School: CA-0; NMH-9
On a cloudy fall afternoon, the Penguins took to the buses for an away game against Northfield Mount Hermon.
From the opening whistle, NMH took advantage of a disciplined offensive scheme, making use of strong communication and well-played through balls.
Again playing with few subs available, CA had to be creative in their formation, moving players around the field to new positions throughout the game. Led by Ben Silpa-archa between the posts, the Penguins exhibited hustle and determination from start to finish, despite being down most of the game.
Special shoutouts to Stan Chang, Yusuke Hirota, Phong Chu, Binghan Yan and Jakob Hartmann, who were relentless in their efforts all match long. Additionally, while no goals were scored by the Penguins on this day, great scoring chances were created by the tenacious play of Ben Ellis, Isaac Adegoke, and JoJo Agbemadzo.
While the result may not have been ideal, the Penguins continue to demonstrate resilience and a willingness to develop as soccer players - a testament to their love of the game!
Stay tuned as they look to defend home field against The Groton School this Saturday (10/19) at 2:30pm.
