The Cushing Varsity Boys’ Basketball team headed to the St. Andrew’s School in Barrington, Rhode Island to take part in their annual Holiday Invitational.  The team was set-up to play two games in two days, the first against the Hornets of Proctor Academy and the second against host St. Andrew’s School.

Game one against the Hornets was a true team game played by the Penguins as they controlled the game from the opening tip.  The Cushing team went into the locker room at halftime with a sizeable lead and sustained the lead throughout the majority of the game.  Playing well on the defensive end of the court for the Penguins were Isaiah Gray ‘20, Jaden Bobbett ‘21, and Malachi Ndur ‘20.

The Penguins will ride the momentum of this win into tomorrow, Saturday, December 21st as they take on St. Andrew’s School at 4:45pm.  The squad looks to close out the 2019 calendar year with a win tomorrow before heading into the winter break to get some rest.
