Olympic Silver Medal for Cushing Grads

Congratulations to Erika Lawler ’05, Meghan Duggan ’06, and all the members of the USA women’s Olympic hockey team on securing the silver medal in the 2010 Winter Olympics. The women lost out to rival Team Canada on February 25, by the score of 0-2.

In front of 18,000 fans, "the girls played their hearts out," said Meghan’s mother who blogged about the games and athletes’ experience on the Duggan Family Blog hosted the WHDH-TV website. "This team represented their country with honor and pride. They are the most amazing women I know and I am thrilled to be a small part of it all. Team USA not only won a silver medal at the Olympic games, but won the hearts and souls of so many folks who were able to follow them in the media. The Olympic Village LOVES them!! They are absolutely the real deal and I couldn't be more proud."
