CA Competes in Harvard's Pre-Collegiate Econ Challenge

On April 3, seven Cushing students competed at Harvard's pre-collegiate economics challenge, finishing in second place in their division and fifth place overall for 2010. The Harvard Undergraduate Economics Association (HUEA) promotes campus awareness of recent economics research and career opportunities in the field of economics. During the past four years, HUEA has sponsored this competition for top high schools as a way to promote increased awareness of the science of economics.

Having participated in the contest for three years, the Cushing team was pleased with its efforts and look forward to another great showing next year. Our students also had the opportunity to meet with Professor Mankiw (the author of their textbook) and participate in a question/answer session.
