The play by Stephen Mallatratt was originally written for a cast of three actors; Theatre Director Julia Ohm worked to adapt the play to fit Cushing’s cast and theatre.
The play follows Arthur Kipps (Christina McCormick) and a professional actor (Ian Boyle) hired by Kipps to aid him in the telling of the ghastly story of Kipps as a young solicitor working for a London firm. A partner of the firm, Mr. Bentley (Alex Cummings), knows the strange tales so he sends Kipps on the assignment to a distant corner of the British Isles. On the way, Kipps meets Mr. Samuel Daily (Christopher Bennett) who lives in a town which has the terrible misfortune of retaining a very restless ghost and a lot of people reluctant to talk about it (Asher Chase, Natalie Mayer, Lauren Young, and Julia Zephir). Other roles played by Keeley Frost, Luciana Fionda, Mai Wei Zhang, and Shirley Chen.
