On Thursday, October 14th the Cushing Athletic Leadership Program hosted a live webinar with America’s ZoneCoach® Jim Fannin. Fannin is the author of S.C.O.R.E.® for Life: The Five Keys to Optimum Achievement. S. C. O. R. E. ® represents Self-Discipline, Concentration, Optimism, Relaxation, and Enjoyment. In attendance during the evening were student-athletes from Cushing’s Athletic Leadership Program, faculty members, and guests, which included team members from The Program.
Fannin provided the group with some valuable insight regarding “Thinking Like a Champion.” One of his main points drew upon the notion that one should “think about what you think about” especially when trying to channel negative thoughts out of one’s mind while attempting to maintain a positive thought process on a personal level as well as amongst teammates. The evening was a great success as summed up by one of the student-athletes, “Tonight was one of the best presentations I have ever seen.”
