Message from the Headmaster

Message to Members of the Cushing Community in Japan:

All of us at Cushing were shocked and saddened to learn of the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan today. I know from firsthand experience what a strong quake is like, because I was in the most powerful earthquake California has had in a century back in 1989, but that was actually much smaller than what your nation suffered today.
We are glad to know that all families of our current students from Japan appear to be safe, and we are making every effort to get those students home safely to their families for March vacation. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of our Cushing families, current and alumni, as well as with all of your loved ones and everyone in the great nation of Japan.

If there is any way Cushing can be of help, please do let me know. A number of Cushing families have already called to offer their homes for those displaced.

On behalf of everyone at Cushing,

With sadness for the loss and best wishes for all of you,

Dr. James Tracy, Headmaster
