Guest Chef Specializes in Chinese Cuisine

Cushing recently welcomed David Luu as a guest chef specializing in Chinese cuisine to the Fisher-Watkins Dining Commons. He treated the Cushing community to made-to-order dishes, along with beef and watercress soup, bok choy and oyster sauce, vegetarian egg rolls, and beef and Chinese broccoli.
David has been in the food service industry for 24 years and has owned three restaurants along the way. He graduated from Newbury College with a culinary degree, but says he learned all of his Chinese cooking from cooking with his mother, who was originally from Vietnam. He began working with ARAMARK at the MIT Faculty Club, and now works at Regis College.

We look forward to another day of specialty cooking with David in April and welcoming other guest chefs to Cushing.
