Annual Katie L. Lemmon '09 Performance

Students and faculty alike were treated to slapstick comedy and off-the-cuff improv during last Friday’s performance by Eight is NEVER Enough, a New York-based comedy troupe that wowed the community with wit, humor and spur-of-the-moment belly laughs.
Made up of New York City performers and artists, the energetic cast used audience members to incorporate sound effects, devise improvised sketches, and animate stories. Although called Eight is NEVER Enough, the company consists of three troupes; two troupes making New York a home base and the third troupe traveling nationwide. Why the name? “Turn the 8 on its side and you will find an infinity sign,” the group explains. “Nothing is ever enough. There is no such thing as too much heart and energy on stage or in life.” They indeed proved themselves right.

This performance was made possible by the Katie L. Lemmon '09 Performance and Lecture Series, which was generously established by Katie’s family to sponsor an annual performance or lecture at Cushing.
