Summer Reading Focuses on Bhutan and Developing Nations

During the 2012-2013 academic year, Bhutan and developing nations will be the lens through which students and faculty will explore overarching questions and issues critical to developing nations in a globalized digital world. This theme will be integrated into classrooms and throughout the school community, and the summer reading choices based on this theme will serve as a springboard for dialog and development of all-school presentations and projects. The theme coincides with the launching of a collaborative educational initiative with the Kingdom of Bhutan, whose king, His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, is a graduate of Cushing.
