An Ethical Debate

What would do? How would you respond? Whose side would you take? Students explore real-life dilemmas with emergency room doctor.
Dr. Greg Ciottone, a Cushing parent who spoke earlier this term about his experience as a 9/11 medical responder, returned to campus to Peter Clarke’s Ethics class for a roundtable discussion. Presenting students with first-hand experience of ethical dilemmas faced in the emergency room, Dr. Ciottone facilitated a debate around decision-making and helped bring several case study issues to life. His visit was a great opportunity for students to think about difficult decision-making, examine both sides of an issue, and explore opinions with others.
