Honor Council Members Commended

On Wednesday, May 22, administrators met with the eight members of the Student Honor Council to commend them on their work upholding the Cushing Academy Honor Code over the course of the year.

The Council, which was founded two years ago, participated in disciplinary committee meetings, deliberated on and recommended consequences for school rule violations, and met with students to discuss accountability. First year Honor Council members were presented with a compass, representing leadership; second year members received copies of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, representing courage and honor in the face of adversity and doing what is right despite convention.
