See you soon!

List of 12 items.

  • Please read this first for essential info!

Every student (new and returning) is required to fill out a series of online enrollment forms, prior to arrival in September. These include health information, activity waivers, course selection forms, etc.

To access your forms, log in to your MyCushing account. Once you log in, click on your child’s name in the upper-left corner then the “Enrollment Forms” box.
Please be sure to check that all required forms--especially health forms--have been submitted.

If you have any questions, please email us at admissions@cushing.org or call 978-827-7300.
  • When do I arrive and is there an orientation program?

Below are this year's arrival dates and schedules. We will have a full program to introduce you to Cushing and to familiarize you with the campus when you arrive.

  • Is there a summer reading requirement?

Yes! The Common Read is something that connects us as Penguins, no matter where we happen to be in the world during the summer. This year, students and faculty members are asked to choose one of four books to read over the summer.

Click here for the 2017 Common Reading page where you'll find the four books and information on the written response that each student will complete by the second weekly advisory meeting in the fall.

  • What type of computer do I need?

Laptops are required for all students. You may bring a model of your own choosing, but the Technology Office recommends the Apple MacBook Pro 13" laptop. For more information on this model and software requirements, please click here.
  • When will I meet my advisor?

You and your parents will meet your advisor during Orientation in the fall. An advisor is like your parent away from home. They are a great place to start for any questions or concerns.
  • When do I find out who my roommate is and where we'll live?

The Admissions Office and Student Life Office work together to match you with a roommate based on your roommate questionnaire. At Registration and Orientation, you will receive your housing assignment and meet your roommate for the first time!
  • What should I bring with me to Cushing?

We have compiled a list of suggested items to bring with you, as well as the items we ask you to please leave at home. Please click here to check it out.
  • Does Cushing have a dress code?

We do. Cushing expects all students to dress in a neat and presentable manner and there are requirements for the regular academic day as well as for formal events. Please click here to familiarize yourself with the dress code as well as suggested items for the New England weather.
  • What is my mailing address at Cushing?

Your mailing address is: <your name>, Cushing Academy, 39 School Street, Ashburnham, MA 01430. Cushing has a central mail room in the Student Center where you will receive all packages and mail. Please be sure all mail includes your full name in the address.
  • Can I ship some of my things to campus before I arrive?

Yes! New students may send boxes, trunks, etc., to be stored at CA until their arrival at the beginning of the year. You are welcome to ship packages anytime after August 10 to:
    NAME OF STUDENT
    New Student
    Cushing Academy
    39 School Street
    Ashburnham, MA 01430
  • Which is the nearest airport?

Cushing recommends looking into flights at Boston Logan International Airport or Manchester Regional Airport. Both airports will allow for a smooth commute to Cushing Academy's campus. However, Cushing provides transportation to Boston’s Logan Airport before and after each long weekend and school break. Information about Cushing transportation can be found in the Community Handbook. For directions and local accommodations, please click here.
  • I have more questions!
