CLASS OF 2012, TAKE NOTE!

Because you’re coming back for your first official Reunion Weekend, we want to make attending especially easy for you. You get to attend reunion for half price! Where else can you get a full weekend of food, fun, and lodging for $62.50 (if you register before May 1, and just $75 if you register after May 1)?

If you're a member of the Class of 2012, please call the Alumni Office (978-827-7400) to register.

Gold Key Society and Faculty (current and former!)

There is no charge for you to attend the weekend. Please call the Alumni Office (978-827-7400) to register.

Do You Need a Ride from Boston?

On Friday, the Cushing bus will leave South Station at 5:00 pm. It will return to South Station on Sunday, leaving campus at 10:30 am. Please note: you must register for the bus in advance. You can sign up using online or by calling the Alumni Office at 978-827-7400.

The bus must leave promptly at 5:00 pm on Friday, June 9, so that our alumni can make it back to campus in time for the opening reception. ($10 each way in addition to the Reunion Weekend fee)

You’re welcome to bring your children to Reunion Weekend. If you would like childcare for Friday and/or Saturday nights, we can help find someone to help. Children must be 3 years of age and toilet trained. This option must be requested in advance.

Special Pre-Reunion Arts Program

Thursday, June 8

Registration and Dorm Check In
4:00 - 8:00 pm

Dinner on your own
Ashburnham has two relatively new restaurants we highly recommend:
  • Tavern on Central, located at 3 Central Street, features a massive beer and cocktails list. Highlights of the menu include nachos, salads, burgers, and some really amazing tacos.
  • Yaka Sawa Sushi and Grill, located at 57 Main Street, serves beer and wine, sashimi, maki, various soups, lo mein, tempura, hibachi, and more.
Of course, there’s also Brother’s Pizza and Village Pizza if you’re interested in pizza, calzones, or sandwiches.

Friday, June 9

Metalsmithing Workshop with Bob Johnson
Beginning at 9:00 am
Here’s a chance to relive your Cushing Academy metalsmithing experience, or if you didn’t have a chance to take metalsmithing as a student this is your opportunity to do so as an adult. Craft your very own pair of earrings or bracelet to take home with you. ($30 per piece, up to 2 pieces, in addition to the Reunion Weekend fee)

Mary Fern is a Cushing Academy legend, having taught drama for 25 years (1967-1992) and then serving the Academy in a multitude of ways even after her official “retirement.” When Mary passed away last year, we knew we needed to go all out to honor her. Join us in Cowell Chapel for pictures and remembrances of this wonderful woman. At the end, we’ll all toast to her legacy with martinis—one of her favorite cocktails!
