University Dancers is the performing and touring company for the University of Massachusetts-Amherst Dance Program, providing a uniquely diverse, creative, and artistic education to aspiring performers, dance makers, and teaching artists. Dancers work with guest artists at the forefront of their craft in both the United States and Europe as well as benefit from being a part of the Five College Dance Department (including Amherst, Mt. Holyoke, Hampshire, and Smith Colleges), quadrupling their opportunities in creative, collaborative, and performing opportunities.

University Dancers Tour Director, Paul Dennis, is a former member of the Limón Dance Company and Associate Professor at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. His career includes a 1995 White House performance, performances with Jacob’s Pillow Men Dancers: The Ted Shawn Legacy, and an international touring solo concert.  He has been a guest artist at Mount Holyoke, Amherst, and Hampshire Colleges, and the International Dance Association in Ravenna, Civitanova Danza, Italy. We are thrilled to launch the fourth season of Cushing Academy’s Performing Arts Series. Initiated in 2014, the Series continues to broaden and deepen our students’ exposure to first-rate performing artists, while also providing a service to our extended community. Our performances continue to be free to the public, though we do appreciate voluntary donations that support the continuation of these performances as well as our Performing Arts Program.
