Celebrating Banned Books Week

Once again, Cushing’s Fisher-Watkins Library is celebrating Banned Books Week! This nationwide event takes place between Sept. 25 and Oct. 1, 2016.

We've just put up a display in the entrance to the library that encourages all who walk past to consider their right to read. If you ask a librarian, any of the books in the display's trash bin can be checked out or read on a Kindle. Don't worry, the “trashed” books will return to the shelves unharmed at week's end.
