Last Thursday, Cushing welcomed 17 visual arts teachers from junior boarding schools for a professional development day. After a welcome from Bob Johnson, Chair of the Visual Arts, the group toured our five studios -- silversmithing, ceramics, painting, stained glass, and photography -- and then settled in for class taught by our talented and experienced faculty. Lunch in the dining hall and student-led campus tours helped to round out the day. Participants departed with their finished piece of art, new connections, and a greater knowledge of the Cushing experience.
Many thanks to Bement School, Cardigan Mountain School, Eaglebrook School, Fay School, Hillside School, Indian Mountain School, Rectory School, and Rumsey Hall School for participating!
