First Annual Cushing Academy Film Festival

On Sunday, April 29, Cushing hosted its first annual film festival. The submission pool was narrowed to 15 films made by students from Cushing, as well as other schools around New England. Though there was stiff competition, Cushing students took home four of the top six awards, including Best Picture! The event began with light snacks and refreshments before the viewing began in the Chapel. Once the films had been viewed, the judges deliberated before announcing the winners. Afterward, the students were invited to a filmmakers-only after party for more mingling and snacks. It was a great event and the students are already planning for next year!
