A Warm Welcome for Accepted Families in Asia

Many thanks to our Asian families and alumni who recently hosted receptions for newly accepted Cushing students and their families. The Hong Kong event, organized by Michael Ho ’06, president of the Hong Kong Alumni and Parent Council, welcomed 36 attendees, including current Cushing students home for spring break. The Shanghai Alumni and Parents Council, headed by Amy Chen (mother of Nelson Zhou ’16), hosted 16 guests, and the Korean Mothers Association welcomed 27. Said Kyung Ha Lee, mother of Kobe Ko ’16 and president of the Korean Mothers Association, “We had a great event for accepted students and parents. Current students explained the general environment of Cushing and two alumni shared their good experiences. I think it was a very valuable time for accepted families as they make their decisions.” All of us at Cushing are grateful for the groups’ hospitality and for spreading such enthusiasm about Cushing. An event for accepted students and families will be held next week in Japan. For more information or to learn how you can help in similar ways, please contact us at parentprograms@cushing.org
