Summer Employment Opportunities

Summer Session: Master Teacher
Candidates for master teaching positions possess a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree and have a strong background in a relevant academic discipline.

Most classes in our Upper School and Middle School programs meet for three and a half hours each weekday morning throughout the session. Classes for credit in the Excel program meet for four and a half hours per day. The average class size is 8 students. 
 
While we accept applications for all programs and positions, we anticipate needs in the following areas for Summer Session 2019:
  • S.T.E.A.M.
  • Math and Science
  • Data Science, Coding, and AI
  • Sports Fitness and Management
  • Economics, Finance, and Business
  • World and United States History
 Nearly all faculty live in dormitory apartments or in faculty housing on the perimeter of campus.  In addition to teaching, faculty responsibilities include attendance at a pre-session orientation, student arrival and departure duties, dormitory supervision, weekend dorm or activity supervision, field trip supervision, and International Day preparations. A competitive salary, as well as room and board, is provided for Summer Session master teachers.

Summer Session: Staff or Teaching Fellow
Summer Session staff and teaching fellow positions are available to rising college sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Opportunities are varied, including work in an administrative office, leading or assisting afternoon classes or activities, and/or being paired with a master teacher in a morning program.
 
While we accept applications for all programs and positions, we anticipate needs in the following areas for Summer Session 2019:
  • Volleyball
  • Soccer
  • Visual Arts
  • Performing Arts
  • Writing and Composition
  • Language
  • S.T.E.A.M.
  • Math and Science
  • Computer Programming

Nearly all staff members and teaching fellows live in single student rooms in larger dormitories.
