All students begin their Summer Session journey by choosing a morning program. With a wide variety of available classes and subject areas, students can build a unique and individual course of study that is challenging, enriching, and engaging, intentionally designed to meet their academic goals and personal pursuits.
For students entering 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade
Upper School students spend their mornings fully engaged in one of our dynamic and enriching summer programs. In the application process, students will choose one morning program from the list below.
Excel - College Prep and Academy courses for credit, preview, or enrichment
Connect - Academic skill-building courses for all learning styles
Immerse - English language classes, workshops, and cultural immersion for English Language Learners
Express - Multi-media studio art courses and portfolio development—from beginning to advanced
For students entering 6th, 7th or 8th grade
Middle School students spend their mornings engaged in a variety of learning environments, all designed to prepare them for future academic success. In the application process, students will choose one morning program from the list below.
Explore - Courses designed to spark curiosity, develop skills, and build confidence for future academic success
Create - Age-appropriate, multi-media studio art classes, workshops, and field trips for aspiring artists
Students are supported in all aspects of their learning and have access to their teachers and instructors for extra help sessions during the academic day and throughout Study Hall.
Beyond the Classroom
For two full days during Summer Session we step outside the classroom to explore educational destinations throughout New England. These program-specific field trips build on and support the daily work in the classroom. Trips include: The Freedom Trail, Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Science, New England Aquarium, and Old Sturbridge Village.
