Tyler Stillings joined Cushing in 2017 as history teacher and ice hockey coach. Mr. Stillings was most recently a faculty member in the history and English departments at The Kiski School, an all-boys college preparatory boarding school in Saltsburg, Penn. He attended boarding school at the Brooks School in North Andover, Mass., where he played ice hockey and lacrosse and served as a school prefect. After graduating from Brooks, Mr. Stillings played one year of Junior A hockey on the New England Wolves under Steve Jacobs, Cushing’s current Varsity Boys’ Hockey coach. He graduated cum laude from Assumption College, where he majored in History and minored in English Literature and Psychology. While a student-athlete at Assumption, Mr. Stillings was chosen by the history and English departments to serve as a history and writing tutor. As an ice hockey goaltender, he played for the NCAA Division II Varsity Ice Hockey team at Assumption and was chosen as the Varsity Ice Hockey Coaches Award Winner and the Assumption College Athletic Department Rev. Alfred Berthiaume Award winner during his senior season for going "above and beyond". A summer director at Stop It Goaltending, Mr. Stillings works with the ice hockey goaltenders at Cushing in addition to his teaching duties. He resides on campus in Cooke Hall.
